Shui Hing Tannery Factory is a long-established leather manufacturing factory in Hong Kong and is currently one of the few remaining leather factories in the city, founded in the early 1980s. At that time, Hong Kong was capable of producing a variety of high-quality leather products and semi-finished goods locally.

However, with the economic transformation of Hong Kong, industries began to shift, and many leather factories subsequently transformed or relocated. Yet, Shui Hing Tannery Factory has consistently adhered to professional leather-making processes and continued production operations in Hong Kong, always maintaining a commitment to quality and the inheritance of traditional leather-making techniques. In 2015, it established a subsidiary, The Lederer, which specializes in the manufacturing and sales of high-end leather products.

At the same time, The Lederer is also actively promoting the culture and techniques of leather crafting, providing enthusiasts with leather tools, tutorials, and DIY leather material kits, further contributing to the fur culture in Hong Kong.

The Lederer continues to uphold traditional craftsmanship while constantly innovating, providing leather enthusiasts and consumers with a more diverse range of choices and experiences.
